Are you a past member and\or supporter of the Hauser Lake Watershed Coalition? If you would like to become a member or renew your membership, please complete the form attached belowand return it to the address listed. Our membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st. We value everyone’s support and involvement and hope that you will join us in our efforts to protect the lake. We have accomplished many good things over the past years which have positively impacted the quality and future of Hauser Lake and its watershed. These include:
ü Maintaining the Hauser Lake Watercraft Rinse Station, which encourages rinsing and inspection of all watercraft before launching into the lake to prevent the infiltration of Eurasian Milfoil and other invasive species (such as the quagga or zebra mussels) that could destroy the lake, watershed and its wildlife.
ü Engaging in community education and clean-up projects to remove and prevent pollutants from further fouling the lake, including “Rake A Lake” and roadside\shoreline trash cleanup.
ü Rolled out the Lake-A-Syst project, a comprehensive program and set of tools to further educate community residents on simple actions they can take to prevent pollution and enhance the quality of the lake and its watershed.
ü Regularly testing the quality of the lake water and the water of several contributing streams that recharge the lake.
ü HLWC meetings that not only cover the organization’s business and plans, but also provide educational venues with guest speakers and presentations of value to our area residents.
Please join us and help with efforts to protect Hauser Lake!
